This straw set is made of bamboo that comes from a small family-owned bamboo farm in Vietnam.

Each set contains:
5 thin straw (5 mm radius, 20 cm long) - perfect for sipping your water-based drinks & favorite cocktails
5 thick straw (1 cm radius · 20 cm long) - best for smoothies
1 coconut fiber cleaning brush to clean the smoothie straw
1 jute pouch

Everything in the set is a 100% biodegradable. It lasts at least 5 years and can avoid thousand of plastic straws during its lifetime. That's a lot of carbon emissions and plastic avoided. Talk about hitting two birds with one stone.

These straws should not be put in the dishwasher. You can avoid emissions during the use-phase (dishwasher) by simply running cold water through the straw and cleaning it with the brush. Dishwasher isn't necessarily good for wood-based products and is terrible for the environment too. Do not put the bamb0o straw in the microwave or oven either - they will burn like the Amazon rainforest did last summer.
