Intex sand filter pump The Intex sand filter pump uses filter sand or glass beads to filter the pool water. A big advantage is that this requires very little maintenance. In contrast to filter cartridges that need to be replaced every two weeks, filter sand or glass beads last for years. The sand filter pump is also very powerful and therefore extremely suitable if you want to use extra pool accessories such as solar heating or a heat pump. And with the built-in timer function you can schedule the filter pump to run. So that you can dive into a lovely clean pool again the next day. The water is filtered in the extra sturdy filter tank of the sand filter pump. This tank has room for 55 kg of sand or 38 kg of glass beads.
