smarTrike smarTfold 400 The revolutionary and new 7-in-1 smarTfold tricycle is fully foldable to 85% of its original size, making it both compact and portable. This unique feature even allows you to take it on the plane as hand luggage. In addition, the smarTfold grows with your child, because each version suits a phase of your child's life. From a fully parent-controlled tricycle at the age of 9 months, to a tricycle that can be operated by your son or daughter themselves at the age of approximately 3 years. Specifications: Color: red Gender: junior Chassis material: steel Wheel material: EVA Dimensions folded: 65 x 33 x 38 cm (L x W x H) Weight: 7.7 kg Adjustable backrest: no Parking brake: yes Suitable for children from 10 months to 3 years. Foldable footrests and pedals Sunshade (foldable, removable and UV-resistant) 360 degree swivel wheel The 7 phases of the smarTfold are explained below: Phase 1 - Folded: This is of course the folded bike. The bike can be stored compactly and is therefore easy to take with you in the trunk, for example. Ideal for going on holiday. But also to store it in a small shed. The disadvantage of most tricycles is that, no matter how small they are, they take up quite a bit of space due to their shape. Phase 2 - 9 months +: You as a parent have full control. Your child is secured with the three-point belt and the wheel is set to remain steerable for you. Moving the handlebars is possible, but it does not affect the direction of the wheel. Phase 3 - 12 months +: At 12 months you can remove the board under the legs and let the feet rest on the footrests that you can easily fold out. Phase 4 - 18 months +: The sun canopy can be removed from the bike, giving your child plenty of room to look around. The wheel can still be steered by the parents and not by the child itself. Phase 5 - 24 months +: At 24 months, you turn the wheel cover around, giving your child the opportunity to steer themselves. Of course, you continue to push your child forward and you can still influence the direction in which you ride. The folded-out footrests are also folded in and the pedals on the front wheel are fixed in the first position. Phase 6 - 30 months +: The push bar for parents is pushed down, your child can now pedal and steer themselves. This gives confidence! Phase 7 - 32 to 36 months: When your child is big enough, the high seat can be removed, leaving a bucket seat. Which makes cycling on a real bike even more real. After all, adults don't have a backrest on their bike either.
