Amsterdam is a city of freedom. The pigeon on the chest of this t-shirt symbolises the "Free Bird". The three crosses on the back are for good luck and come from the coat of arms of the city of Amsterdam. Amsterdam got her name from a "Dam" in the river Amstel ("Amstelredamme, est. 1275).
Nowadays Amsterdam is also known as a denim city, AmsterDenim XXX. "DUIF" is Dutch for Pigeon. DUIJFF is spelled in old-Dutch, a hommage to freebird Johan Cruijff.
